In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Huck faces a number of moral dilemmas such as. When Huck and Jim stole the things from the man who was shot dead who was shot in the back. They stole things such as Watermelons, Cantelopes, mushrooms, and crabapples, But as Huck thought about it he pictured what would the Widow, Pap, and Jim would say about Huck stealing those things. This pertains to the story because when you think back pap really does not care because he is telling Huck that you can steal just give it back here is what pap said:” pap always said it warn’t no harm to borrow things, if you was meaning to pay them back, sometime”; and the widow said: “It warn’t anything but a soft name fro stealing and decent body would do it”; and Jim said: “he reckoned the widow was partly right and pap was partly right; so the best way would be for us to pick out two or three things fro the list and say we would not borrow them anymore”.( page 49)
I am going to agree with Jim because Huck and Jim are out on an island and they have no food and barley shelter so you have to get what you need while you can. To me Huck did a half wrong and half right (50/50) he stole food and other items from ’DEAD’’ man, But also I cant place my whole argument on Huck I have to place some shame on Jim to because Jim didn’t have to do it if he didn’t want to. In “Ghetto Slang” Jim had a little Street Knowledge and knew what he was into because slavery wasn’t the hottest cup of tea, but over all Jim was there and was Huck’s protector because if u look into the chapter Jim wouldn’t let Huck go in to see the dead body until he checked it out first. The reason being is that Jim was a slave and has seen plenty of people getting killed, beat, raped and more hash things that were done to the slaves.
